After months of researching, studying, thinking, and planning, I've now entered the writing stage of a project that's been preoccupying me for ages. I've toyed with doing it as a book, a course, a podcast, and a video series (and some day, it may turn into all of these), but for now, it's kicking off as another substack blog. If all goes well, it'll be ready for launch in a few weeks.
The fundamental thesis of Unhack Your Brain is that the modern world is playing havoc with our nervous systems and the way we think. We can see the effects of everything from social media and our TV habits to our diet and climate change playing out in our brain chemistry and even the structure of the brain itself. It's making us stressed, sick, and anxious.
In other words, our brains have been hacked.
In Unhack Your Brain, I draw on anthropology, neuroscience, NLP, meditation, pranayama, and other scientific and spiritual disciplines to understand what's going on and what we can do about it.
Maybe we can’t change the world, but we can change ourselves.
