I need to read some more Saint-Exupéry. I was put off his work for half a century by the tweeness of Le Petit Prince, but I enjoyed Night Flight and (even more) Southern Mail when I read them recently. Currently reading Quatermass, which makes me wish Nigel Kneale had found the time for more novels.
I'm already close to giving up on Centroeuropa. Sentences half a page long do not make for easy reading. And the Maiden comic was bad. Little House in the Big Woods, however, is fascinating, and I'm kicking myself for not having read it half a century ago.
Congratulations on being picked for the author fair. Go for it and get that book there too.
I enjoyed your other news - especially the pesky wild life. Sneaky deer and squirrels. Perhaps the squirrels are using the bird feeders for their own gardens??? I think there might be a story there somewhere :)
Fresh Air just did a great segment on the town from Little House, and their annual festival every year, from May 30. Check it out!
Another great list, Matt. Glad to see your writing career is getting some love. Hope you like memory police.

I never quite got Petit Prince. Same with Jonathan Livingston Seagull: when I found other Bach, it was a revelation.
